Super mamma

Tonight I felt like super mamma. Dinner on the table by 17:45. My son had had a bath and was in his PJs and robe by 18:45. Teeth brushed and in bed listening to bed time stories by 19:30. By 20:05 it was lights out and we were asleep. We'd also found time to play with the wooden train-set, drive toy cars under a big bridge (the kitchen stool), build a 24-piece puzzle and generally have fun! Some nights you are just on a roll, and tonight was my night. Sweet :-)

Things to smile about: Three

I smile when I arrive home and see the flowers by my front door.
I smile when I discover that our rose bushes have decided to bloom again.
I smile when I discover the orchid upstairs is in bloom.
I smile everyday when I look at this orchid which has bloomed since late July!

What to do this weekend?

I asked my son what he wanted to do this weekend? Go to a playpark. And what else, I asked. Go to another playpark and then another and then another ...!!! He is smiling. I said: you want to spend the whole weekend playing at playparks? His smile widens and he answers a firm YES!

I am grateful to have a son who is easily pleased. He likes to play outside (no matter what the weather) and he does not require any expensive toys (yet?). Luckily we have at least 3 playparks within walking distance from our house so I am sure we will be playing this weekend. Maybe not the whole weekend but at least a fair bit of it. I guess my husband and I can do with a bit of fresh air and exercise as well ... !
